November Meeting: Real Property

The November chapter meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at Connolly's Pub & Restaurant. The guest speakers will be Daniel Reardon, and Ronald M. Gold, ASA seen at right, Ronald M. Gold, ASAwho will talk about Charitable Contributions of Real Estate and Other Property: The Effect of New Federal Regulation H.R.4. Dan Reardon is a New York area manager for the National Architectural Trust, which works to preserve historic neighborhoods. Ron Gold, a Manhattan-based commercial and residential real estate appraiser, is an instructor for the Real Estate Board of New York and a popular teacher and lecturer, offering courses at The Learning Annex and other institutions. Messrs. Reardon and Gold will discuss pension reform bill H.R.4, which increases the tax incentive for conservation, in part by increasing the limits for conservation deductions. The bill also places new limits on facade easements, and mandates appraisal reforms. The program qualifies for one hour of ASA Continuing Education Credit. October Meeting: Personal Property

Michael Mendelsohn The guest speaker will be Michael Mendelsohn, the president and founder of Briddge Art Strategies, Ltd., which specializes in art succession planning . Recently named a Top 100 collector by Art & Antiques Magazine, Mr. Mendelsohn, who is known both as a world-class collector and as an expert in structuring gifts for charities and family members, will talk about the Inheritance Planning of Art and Antique Assets. The program qualifies for one hour of ASA Continuing Education Credit.
