Current Topics in Business Valuation
The American Society of Appraisers, New York City Chapter 30 will host the fifteenth annual Current Topics in Business Valuations -- 2007 seminar on Friday, May 4, 2007 from 8:45 a.m to 5:00 p.m at its new location in the New York Hilton Hotel, 1335 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10019 Scott Nammacher, ASA and Bill Johnston, ASA will co-chair the seminar.

The seminar, which qualifies for 8 hours ASA and CPE credit, covers the how-to aspects of unusual engagements and advanced aspects of evolving areas within the field. Following Opening Remarks at 8:45 a.m. by co-chairs Nammacher and Johnston, the 9:00 a.m. session will feature a panel discussion of Current Issues for Financial Reporting, hosted by Stamos Nicholas, Matthew Pinson, Arthur S. Miller, and Peter G. Wollmeringer.
Terry J. Allen will talk at 10:45, offering an Advanced Look at the Guideline Company Approach. After lunch and networking, Brenda K. Woolbert will discuss IRS Perspective: Appraisers and Their Valuation Responsibilities at 1:00 p.m.
At 2:00 p.m. Jim Hitchner will host Make Me an Offer I CAN Refuse: An Alternate Look at Current Views. Michael Tully will lead the closing seminar at 3:45 p.m. on Update: FASB Projects Applicable to Financial Reporting Valuation.
